In the first half of 2017, the installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation increased by 9% year-on-year to 24.4 million kilowatts. Distributed pv is 7.11 million kw, a 2.9 times year-on-year growth. In June, the installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation reached 13.15 million kilowatts, with a year-on-year increase of 16%. In the first half of the year, China's photovoltaic power generation capacity reached 51.8 billion kilowatt hours, up 75 percent year on year. The country's discarded light power was 3.7 billion kilowatt hours, with a reduction of 4.5 percentage points compared to the same period last year, mainly in Xinjiang and Gansu. Among them, xinjiang (including the XPCC) discarded light power was 1.7 billion kilowatt hours, with a decrease of 6 percentage points compared to the previous year. The abandonment rate of gansu's 970 million kilowatt-hours of electricity was 22%, down nearly 10 percentage points year on year.
From the distribution of new installed capacity, the trend of transfer from northwest to central and eastern regions is more obvious. The new installed capacity in eastern China was 8.25 million kw, up 1.5 times year on year, accounting for 34 percent of the country's total, with Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui each adding more than 2 million kW. Central China added 4.23 million kw of new installed capacity, up 37% year-on-year, accounting for 17.3% of the country's total. The new installed capacity in the northwest region was 4.16 million kw, down 50 percent year on year.
The installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic power generation continues to speed up, mainly concentrated in Zhejiang, Shandong and Anhui. The newly installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic power generation has exceeded 1 million kw, with the year-on-year growth of more than two times. The newly installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic power generation in the three provinces accounts for 54.2% of the national total.
