I. Forecast of China's total power investment
In 2014, China invested 780.5 billion yuan in electric power projects, a year-on-year increase of 1.00% compared with 2013. In 2015, China invested 857.6 billion yuan in electric power projects, an increase of 9.87% compared with 2014.
It is expected that the total investment in power in China will reach RMB 1,020.4 billion in 2017, with the compound annual growth rate of 9.82% in the next five years (2017-2021), and the total investment in 2021 will reach RMB 1,484.2 billion.

In 2014, China invested 368.6 billion yuan in power engineering construction, a decrease of 4.80% compared with 2013. In 2015, China's power engineering construction investment was 393.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.78% compared with 2014. From January to September 2016, China's major power generation enterprises completed power supply projects with an investment of 198.9 billion yuan, down 10.9 percent from 2015.
It is estimated that the total investment in power supply in China will reach 450.3 billion yuan in 2017, with an average annual compound growth rate of 5.62% in the next five years (2017-2021), and the total investment in 2021 will reach 560.3 billion yuan.

3. Total investment forecast of China power Grid
In 2014, China completed the construction of power grid projects with an investment of 411.9 billion yuan, an increase of 6.82% compared with 2013. In 2015, China invested 464 billion yuan in power grid construction, a year-on-year increase of 12.64%.
From January to September 2016, China completed 356.6 billion yuan of investment in power grid projects, a year-on-year increase of 31.6 percent compared with 2015.
It is estimated that the total investment in China's power grid will reach 521.1 billion yuan in 2017, with an average annual compound growth rate of 7.48% in the next five years (2017-2021), and the total investment will reach 745.5 billion yuan in 2021.
