Overall electricity consumption rose 6.5 per cent year on year in June

On July 12, the National Energy Administration released data on overall electricity consumption in June.
In June, total electricity consumption was 524.4 billion KWH, up 6.5 percent year on year. By industry, the power consumption of the primary industry is 12 billion KWH, up 11.0% year on year. Electricity consumption in the secondary sector reached 382.3 billion KWH, up 5.4%. Electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 70.2 billion KWH, up 11.1%; 60 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity for urban and rural residents, up 7.4%.
From January to June, the total electricity consumption of the whole society reached 2,970.8 billion kilowatt-hours, up 6.3 percent year on year. By industry, the electricity consumption of the primary industry reached 50.9 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%; Electricity consumption of the secondary industry reached 2,095.4 billion KWH, up 6.1%; Electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 405.4 billion KWH, up 9.3%; The electricity consumption of urban and rural residents is 399 billion kilowatt-hours, up by 4.5%.
