Zhu Ming said that in the first half of the year, China's renewable energy industry showed the following three characteristics:
First, the installed capacity of renewable energy power generation exceeded 600 million kw. Among them, installed hydropower capacity reached 338 million kw, wind power capacity 154 million kw, photovoltaic power capacity 102 million kw and biomass power capacity 13.3 million kW. In the first half of this year, the newly installed power generation capacity of various types of renewable energy was increased by 37 million kw, accounting for about 70% of all the newly installed power generation capacity. This shows that China's energy structure adjustment has been further accelerated and renewable energy has entered a new stage of large-scale development. At present, China's installed capacity of hydropower, wind power and photovoltaic power generation has ranked first in the world.
Second, the problem of abandoning water, wind and light has been significantly improved. In the first half of the year, the National Energy Administration made solving the problem one of the important tasks in its energy work, with the wind abandon rate and light abandon rate dropping by 7 percentage points and 4.5 percentage points respectively.
Third, major renewable energy projects are progressing in an orderly manner.
