According to the website of the National Energy Administration on February 10, China's installed power generation capacity grew steadily and rapidly in 2013, adding 94 million kilowatts in 2013, including 29.93 million kilowatts of hydropower, 36.5 million kilowatts of thermal power, 2.21 million kilowatts of nuclear power, 14.06 million kilowatts of wind power and 11.3 million kilowatts of solar power.
It is worth noting that by the end of 2013, China's grid-connected wind power installed capacity was 75.48 million kw, generating 140.1 billion KWH, and the average utilization hours of equipment were 2,080 hours, the highest level since 2005 and 151 hours more than the same period last year. By province, the average utilization hours of wind power in Yunnan and Fujian reached 2,919 and 2,745 hours respectively. Among the 10 provinces with installed wind power capacity of over 3 million kw, The average utilization hours of wind power equipment in Xinjiang, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and Ningxia exceeded the national average. In Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang and Gansu, the average utilization hours of wind power were only 1924, 1725, 1951 and 1,806 hours respectively, but they increased by 162, 305, 171 and 145 hours respectively.
