With the rapid growth of the new energy vehicle market, the uncertainty in the early stage of the development of new energy vehicles has been gradually eliminated, and the construction of charging facilities has become the biggest bottleneck in the development of the industry except for batteries. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) recently added a new item to its November auto industry information, namely, the promotion and application of electric vehicle charging infrastructure nationwide.
According to statistics, as of November 2017, a total of 204,729 public charging piles have been reported by units in China EV charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance, including 81,734 AC charging piles, 56,936 DC charging piles, and 66,059 direct ac integrated charging piles. In November 2017, 10,135 new public charging piles were added compared with October 2017. From December 2016 to November 2017, an average of 7,411 new public charging facilities were built every month, up 76.8 percent year-on-year in November 2017.
Based on the number of public charging piles in provincial administrative regions, the top ten are: Beijing 29,731, Guangdong 28,309, Shanghai 24,462, Jiangsu 21,376, Shandong 16,831, Anhui 9,729, Hebei 9,670, Zhejiang 9,497, Tianjin 9,431 and Hubei 5,913.
