The One Belt And One Road "strategy targets energy infrastructure connectivity

On May 14, under the leadership of China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), a group of Chinese enterprises including Shanghai Electric, Dongfang Electric, Goldwind Technology and Yingli Group went to Kazakhstan to promote the development advantages and competitiveness of China's clean energy such as nuclear power, wind power and solar energy. During this period, CGN also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Development of Clean Energy with kazakhstan Atomic Energy Corporation (HEREINAFTER referred to as "Kazakh Industry").
This is only part of the "One Belt And One Road" strategy. According to economic Information Daily, the National Energy Administration recently held a conference on promoting international energy cooperation in the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative. It revealed that it would focus on strengthening cooperation in energy infrastructure connectivity, including oil and gas pipelines and power transmission lines, and asked financial and insurance institutions for further support.
Kazakhstan is an important neighbor of China and a bridgehead of the Silk Road Economic Belt. Energy, as an important area of cooperation between China and Kazakhstan, enjoys a long and solid foundation. In particular, Kazakhstan's advantages in resources and China's advantages in technology and equipment complement each other, which is conducive to a win-win situation of a strong alliance. Kazakhstan has rich resources reserves in uranium mining, wind energy, solar energy, hydropower and other fields, and enjoys unique advantages in developing clean energy. It has a clear development strategy and put forward the concept of realizing the transformation of "green economy" by 2030.
This visit, led by CGN, is the first large-scale china-Kazakhstan cooperation seminar held after President Xi Jinping's visit to Kazakhstan to promote clean energy. During the promotion activities, CGN mainly introduced China's independent intellectual property Rights (IPR-3) nuclear power Technology Hualong 1, Dongfang Electric and Shanghai Electric mainly introduced their power equipment manufacturing and technical service capabilities, and Goldwind Technology and Yingli Group respectively introduced their manufacturing and service advantages in wind power and photovoltaic power stations.
