In 2015, China's nuclear power projects will be subject to intensive approval
On May 7, China National Nuclear Corporation's Fuqing Unit 5, the first demonstration project of China's third-generation nuclear power technology Hualong 1, officially started construction and is expected to realize commercial operation in July 2020. The second phase of Fangchenggang, another demonstration project of the technology, is also scheduled to start construction at the end of July.
Industry insiders believe that 2015 is a crucial year for nuclear power restart. At present, many nuclear power projects are ready to start, and China's nuclear power will enter the intensive approval period, which is good for nuclear power equipment and material suppliers.
On March 29 this year, the second phase of Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant project (Unit 5) started construction, which is the first new approved nuclear power project in China since the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan, marking the formal restart of large-scale nuclear power construction in China.
China is currently building 26 nuclear power units with an installed capacity of 28.5 million kilowatts, making it the world's largest nuclear power plant under construction, said Zhang Huazhu, President of the China Nuclear Energy Industry Association. According to the State Council's Medium - and long-term Plan for Nuclear Power development, China's installed nuclear power capacity will reach 58 gigawatts by 2020, with 30 gigawatts under construction. It is expected that six to eight units will start construction this year, and eight nuclear power units will be put into commercial operation, making it the year with the most nuclear power units put into commercial operation.
At present, the major nuclear power groups have been ready for project approval or commencement of construction. CGNPC "hualong group number one" chief designer salt spring yu, as one of "hualong number one" demonstration project, fangcheng port phase ii project units 3 and 4, design documents, equipment procurement and supply, the construction preparation, project approval and license application and so on various aspects work steadily push forward as planned, plan the construction at the end of July.
Meanwhile, Shidaowan has become huaneng's first nuclear power base, and the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor demonstration project will be transferred from civil construction to installation in June this year. China huaneng
