The company ranks top three in China's top 100 CSR development index
On November 8, the company was ranked the top three on the CSR Development Index of China's Top 100 enterprises in the "2011 Blue Book on Corporate Social Responsibility" jointly held by the Department of Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Institute of Social Development of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Social Sciences Academic Press.
It is the third year in a row that the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences has published a blue book on corporate social Responsibility. The blue book evaluates the social responsibility development level of the top 100 state-owned enterprises, the top 100 private enterprises and the top 100 foreign-funded enterprises. According to the blue book, China's CSR development level has five characteristics: first, the overall level of CSR development index is low, with an average score of 19.7; Second, the power supply industry in the leading stage, most of the industry in the sidelines stage; Third, the social responsibility index of state-owned enterprises is still ahead of private enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises. Fourth, the CSR index of European, American and Japanese companies in China is better than that of Taiwan, South Korea and other Asian countries. Fifth, the responsibility practice is ahead of the responsibility management, the market responsibility index is better than the environmental responsibility and social responsibility index.
Leaders, experts and journalists from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Social Sciences Academic Press, Securities Times, China Enterprise Citizen Committee and other institutions attended the meeting.
